The Collections Department is seeking three highly motivated Bilingual Collectors to join our team. The Collector will be responsible for contacting individuals and businesses regarding delinquent property tax accounts, setting up payment arrangements, and maintaining accurate documentation of all interactions.

This role requires a friendly, professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to learn and follow detailed procedures. No prior collections experience is required-we welcome candidates with strong customer service backgrounds and transferable skills.


Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls to collect past-due property tax payments
  • Set up payment arrangements or establish structured payment schedules
  • Accurately document all collection activities in the system
  • Review account information and follow detailed departmental procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism at all times
  • Work collaboratively with the team and supervisors to meet department goals

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bilingual: English & Spanish (required)
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and retain information
  • Strong time management and the ability to multitask
  • Confident and self-motivated with good negotiation skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Dependable and punctual team player
